About the Library Board

The Ekiti State Library Board was established on 1st October,1996 following the creation of Ekiti State from the old Ondo State. Its establishment was formalized under the Ekiti State Library Law of 1999. Since its inception, the Board has continued to contribute immensely to educational and sustainable development within the State. As a public library, it is owned and funded by the State Government to provide library and information services to diverse groups of people without restriction.
